It's Friday :) (Please Don't Sing the Rebecca Black Song lol)

Yay it's Friday!! The weekend is finally here!
Getting up today for work was hard because my hubby is off today. Snuggling when it's cold in the room and warm under the covers, it was so hard to force myself to go to work haha! But here I am :) And I am glad I am at work because I want to try my hand at crocheting!! I will let you know how it goes haha.

Anyway, today is going good :) About to leave for lunch to go eat at the local Mexican restaurant (they have the BEST guacomole dip!! but not as good as my mother-in-law's haha) with my hubby, my dad and my Granny :)

Last night was youth praise practice, and it started off pretty good. But it didn't end very well :(. We are trying to get to a new Spiritual level in how we do things, and we have our Worship leader who is training us (she doesn't sing with us, she is kind of the "mom/leader" of the group that tells us what to do in certain situations, and we are learning alot) and then we have our Youth Worship Leader. And everything was going fine, but our Youth leader started on a song, and wanted to take a certain part of the song out. Our Worship Leader didn't want us to because the song didn't sound very good without it, but our Youth leader wanted to try it anyway. And then I began to see lightening clashing between the trainee leader and the main leader. They were butting heads, and it turned out that the Worship Leader was right all along and the song didn't work without the pre-chorus. Anyway, it went on like that, and then the youth leader started another song which she had introduced to the group a few months back and we have sang it several times and she should know by the back of her hand. Well, me and two other girls are to "back her up" singing with her, but the youth leader sang the song completely different than how it should be done, and the guitar players (including my hubby :) ) were having trouble playing with her. O my gosh it was horrible! (not that her voice didn't sound bad, it sounded pretty as always, but the song sounded terrible--the melody and tune was way off!!)

So, here I am, struggling to back her up, but I don't know whether she is going up or down on a certain part and then she started changing around verses and what-not. A complete train wreck. And I was getting more and more frustrated, and our Worship Leader was trying to get her attention, trying to tell her the melody doesn't sound right. Instead of listening and submitting to our Worship Leader, the youth leader just kept going. Getting my fill of it, I said into the microphone, "Hold up!! What are we doing? This isn't right and it sounds bad. Are we changing the song or something than how we normally sing it? If we are, that's fine, but I'm confused and lost?" Instead of stopping to listening to me, the youth leader said, "Just keep going until we get it." And she said it in such a rude way and was giving me a death look. Now, she has been my friend for several years, but that really ticked me off. So then I tried again, "How can we ever get it if we aren't singing it right in the first place?" She still didn't listen, so since I knew how the song went, I sang the right melody as loud as I could into the mic, drowing out the youth leader. Ugh I was so frustrated with it, and I don't think I did anything wrong by doing that.

Anyway, our Worship Leader stopped us and confronted the youth leader, then got me to sing it for her so she would know how it goes. That was awful but I did it anyway and then we sang it right together a couple of times. Then after that, my hubby asked the youth leader how a certain song went, and she spouted off, "why don't you ask one of them? I might sing it wrong." In a really spiteful way. Then after practice was over she left without saying anything and I felt that she was really angry with me.

I tried texting her later trying to tell her that I wasn't trying to be rude...oh well. I don't think she ever texted me back. So I'm praying for our next worship service. (I think we have the service this next Wednesday. I hope we practice before then!)I definitely don't think I was in the wrong. But dang is that girl bull headed! Lol.

Anyway, I'm still frustrated about but what can ya do? I have been praying about it though. Well it's about that time! :) I'm going to go eat me some Mexican food :) Then I'm going to start crocheting! :)

Love you guys and I hope ya'll have a great Friday!!
