Zeeke the Misfit Lion Feltie :D

Hi everyone! It has been one long week, and I haven't been able to post a blog in a while, so I apologize for that. I have been trying to get over this cold, and I think I have it almost beaten :)!

Anyway, I created another adorable feltie for my shop :) Let me post a couple pics of him below :)

Isn't he adorable?? :D He is actually based on a story character I wrote about. I may make a mini children's book to sell along with him, but we will see :) Here is a little bit about him:

"Meet Zeeke, the Misfit Lion. Abandoned at a circus when he was a baby, he grew up feeling unwanted and unloved because of his wild red hair and colorful spots, which was completely different from all the little lions he met. But one day, things changed when he met Santa in the North Pole. Showing Zeeke that he was special because he was different, Zeeke the Misfit Lion felt loved and had a good family with all the other toys at Santa's workshop.

Getting near Christmas, Santa has promised to find Zeeke a good home under someone's tree or in someone's stocking. Zeeke is a very loving lion and will never leave your side :) If you feel he is the one felted animal for you, take him home with you today! Santa and Zeeke would be much obliged since the little lion has been looking for a good home :)"

Anyway, if you want to have him, be sure to click on my Etsy shop that is located on the right of my blog :)

As for what's been going on lately, I have been working alot. I finally did get to finish those angel costumes for the church drama, and boy am I glad that's over. They didn't even use the sashes I spent forever making with them, ugh. Oh well, they turned out looking good.

Oh, and my hubby got me an adjustable seamstress dummy for Christmas! I am so very excited about it!! I will name her Lisa the Dummy haha. I will have to post pictures of her. Oh, and I have been working hard at making my new sewing/workshop room!! It is almost complete!! Pictures will be posted soon of it :) I love remodeling rooms in the house and I am so glad I finally have a place to put all my wonderful craft stuff :D

Anyway, I better get back to work. Got a lot to do before this day ends! Love you guys and I hope ya'll have a good weekend. And I hope ya'll have a safe Thanksgiving and Black Friday Holiday if I don't post before then :D!!

Tired But Here :)

Hi Everyone :) Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. Been busy all week! lol. How about ya'll?

Anyway, figured I would post something before I got out of the habit of posting lol. Today, I'm running on low energy lol. I couldn't sleep last night and at 2 am I woke up with heartburn. :( So I went ahead and got up and caught up with my show I recorded on DVR. (America's Next Top Model All Stars-All new season!! :D ).

Anyway, I also worked on angel costumes for the drama we are having tomorrow night. I'm a little frustrated about it because I wasn't given much notice. Oh well, what can you do? I even brought the costumes to work with me today so I could finish up some sashes for them and iron them lol. On my lunchbreak I'm going to have to go and buy some more material for the sashes.

So, after doing all that this morning, I finally went back to bed at about 4:30 am and woke up at 7:30 to get ready for work. haha and that's why I'm exhausted. But, I brought my mini coffee maker I bought to work with me so I could have hot chocolate :) I'm sipping some now :D Ahhh, how I love my mini coffee maker.

So, my to do list for today is to catch up on paperwork, knit some, and work on those costumes lol

I'm excited about two things though and I just realized I haven't blogged about them yet! Crazy me! lol. The first thing is a miniature dachshund named Cookie :) My hubby went to see her last night and to make a deposit on her :) She is two weeks old right not and she is just as small as the palm of my hand and her eyes are open :D She is so precious!! And I'm excited about getting her :) It will be the second week of December when I pick her up!! :)

The second bit of news is after Christmas, and after me and my hubby pay off our vehicle, we will begin working on adding on to our house! So my mind is a flurry with all kinds of ideas and decorating themes! Very excited for next summer when we begin the project! I will have to include some before and after pictures after it's all done :)!!

Well, I have to go now. Just realized I have a safety meeting today that I have to attend so I need to hurry and finish up that paperwork!!

Love you guys and hope ya'll are having a good Thursday!!

Hello Lovelies :)

I just wrote an entire post and then somehow I deleted it :( *sad face* So now I will start all over lol!

So, I'm back at work today :) Although I feel like I should be back at home cleaning, but I don't think I would get anything done if I did stay at home! haha so me and my hubby have dedicated this Saturday to cleaning. yay :D I smile now but I bet I will be on here grumbling about it when Saturday gets here haha.

Anyway, just catching up on busy work when I decided I would take a break and check up on Etsy and my blog and other blogs and Facebook :) lol. Nothing much going on.

Last night I watched the latest episode of Walking Dead on the AMC channel with my hubby before we went to bed. I will not do that again! I had horrible dreams and at one point during the night I woke up thinking that an intruder was in the house! How scary! And then I dreamed about a zombie apocolypse and me and my family surviving!! Lol. I'm glad that was all a dream. I usually watch the show when I download it on Itunes at work and it's DAYTIME. I think I will do that next time instead haha.

Anyway, hope everyone's Monday is going well :) It still feels like Saturday to me but that's probably because food poisoning stole my weekend from me haha. Blog at ya later! :)

IHop and Shopping :)

Hi everyone :) I'm sitting at IHOP with my husband sipping on a cup of MEGA awesome caramel hot chocolate :) words can't even describe how good it is haha.

You may be wondering why I'm blogging while spending time with my husband. Well me and him are both very good at multi-tasking. We can talk and play on our phones lol. He is showing me an awesome guitar that I am trying to convince him to buy. :) he is so cute. He will buy all kinds of stuff for me, but will squabble about buying something for himself. I wish I was more like him though. I have a dresser full of unused makeup :( but I still love to look at it haha!!

Anyway, we just got thru doing some Christmas shopping in the mall. I'm going to have to make a detailed list out for some people that way it will be easier to shop for them on the go like that lol. We also watched the new movie called In Time with Justin Timberlake. It is a retro futuristic movie, but I can see a lot of truths in it. I don't wanna go into too much detail, but the buying of things with time/time equals money rings true along with a little view into our future through Revelations-buying things with the scanning of one's wrist or hand and what-not/Mark of the Beast kind of thinking. Also, there are literally no old people in the entire movie and everyone looks like they are around 25 or 30ish and everyone is wanting to live forever but only the rich have the most time. It kind of reminds me of how alot of people in hire politics think-no old people. By making it harder and more expensive for older people to get medical insurance, it makes it easier to get rid of the old. How scary is that? That's where our world is headed. But I don't want to get into any political arguments with people.

Anyway, the movie was okay. Kind of reminded me of the modern day version of Bonnie and Clyde.

I just ordered a single pancake. Just now getting over that food poisoning, I'm trying to take it easy. IHOP is dumb though when it comes to ordering off the kid's menu. They simply won't allow it if you are not 12 or younger. I don't want to eat very much but I had to order a regular sized pancake anyway because I couldn't order the jr. Aye. Policies, Polices. Lol

Anyway, I hope everyone's Sunday went well :) Tomorrow is Monday which means back to work for me lol. Maybe I can get some knitting done!

Love you guys!

A quick update :)

Mccallister's is the most awesome sandwhich place!! That is all :) lol

The Worst Night Ever Among Other Stuff :P

Hey Everyone!! :)

I hope everyone's weekend was good :) Mine was terrible until today haha. I will tell you what happened, starting with Friday night.

Friday night was Drama Practice at the church. It started off well enough, but it started to worsen. And I know it was all me and that I have to get a breakthrough from it. I consider myself an excellent drama team member and I do give it my all. But it always seems that people that don't really give it their all get really big parts. Ugh I'm sorry. See how messed up that sounds? I just feel like I'm just a backround player when I know I can be much more. And even when I do feel like this, I still give it my all because I know I'm doing it for God and not for anyone else. Please, Lord, help me through this. Anyway, one good thing is that the last time we did a drama for the church, Pastor told my Mother-In-Law that she had her eyes on my the entire time. She said she saw so much passion and authority rising up in me. And that made me very happy :) So I have to remember those words of encouragement everytime we do a drama.

Well, anyway, after practice that Friday night, my hubby and I went home and I fried up some chinese food. It was really good, and after watching tv and playing guitar, we went to bed. Anyway, about one oclock that night, I woke up feeling really sick. I mentioned to my husband that I felt like I was going to throw up. So I went into the bathroom and had extremely bad diarrhea (sorry for being so blunt lol) and I vomited seven times (I counted lol). All that chinese I had eaten hadn't even digested. Ugh! Oh I felt horrible. I went back to bed and about every other hour I would wake up and have to use the bathroom again. Well, about 5:30 that morning, I threw up 5 more times. I never felt so horrible in my life. It felt like my stomach was flushing everything out of my system. And through it all, my dear husband helped me. He was so sweet :) Doting on me and cleaning up behind me. He didn't get any sleep like I did.

The weird part about it was that I didn't have any fever. And then I realized it was food poisoning. My hubby didn't have it, so I knew it was from the BBQ plate I bought Wednesday at work. (The BBQ smelt ruint and I only ate a couple bites of it. But those little bites sure did destroy me in the end!)

Anyway, Saturday morning, I laid around on the couch all day long, dozing off and watching tv. My sweet hubby did things for me around the house, including cleaning and getting things for me at the local Wal-Mart. I felt like death. But I was still going to the bathrooom on the hour every hour. Ugh! But I was dehydrated, so I sucked on ice chips and nibbled on Saltines crackers. Haha how pitiful was I!

Today, this Sunday, I woke up feeling a lot better! I still go to the bathroom, but not as much. My hubby went to church and I am laying on the couch watching cartoons and typing this out now lol. I had a little bit of chicken noodle soup, and since I feel so much better, when my hubby comes back home, we will make a trip out of town for some Christmas shopping! :D Yay!

So, I'm glad my ordeal is over. It was the Worst Night Ever!! lol. Anyone catch up on their Christmas shopping? I keep seeing awesome Christmas commercials and it makes me so excited!! :) I wanna decorate!! And I'm excited about Black Friday. :)

Anyway, I just wanted to update the blog and tell ya'll about my ordeal. I haven't been able to knit or make anything this entire weekend ! :( sad face. Lol. But I will be back at it tomorrow! Now I'm off to Etsy shop and eventually I will have to get up and wash some clothes and get ready to go shopping. Love you guys and I hope ya'll's weekend was better than mine! Haha

It's Friday :) (Please Don't Sing the Rebecca Black Song lol)

Yay it's Friday!! The weekend is finally here!
Getting up today for work was hard because my hubby is off today. Snuggling when it's cold in the room and warm under the covers, it was so hard to force myself to go to work haha! But here I am :) And I am glad I am at work because I want to try my hand at crocheting!! I will let you know how it goes haha.

Anyway, today is going good :) About to leave for lunch to go eat at the local Mexican restaurant (they have the BEST guacomole dip!! but not as good as my mother-in-law's haha) with my hubby, my dad and my Granny :)

Last night was youth praise practice, and it started off pretty good. But it didn't end very well :(. We are trying to get to a new Spiritual level in how we do things, and we have our Worship leader who is training us (she doesn't sing with us, she is kind of the "mom/leader" of the group that tells us what to do in certain situations, and we are learning alot) and then we have our Youth Worship Leader. And everything was going fine, but our Youth leader started on a song, and wanted to take a certain part of the song out. Our Worship Leader didn't want us to because the song didn't sound very good without it, but our Youth leader wanted to try it anyway. And then I began to see lightening clashing between the trainee leader and the main leader. They were butting heads, and it turned out that the Worship Leader was right all along and the song didn't work without the pre-chorus. Anyway, it went on like that, and then the youth leader started another song which she had introduced to the group a few months back and we have sang it several times and she should know by the back of her hand. Well, me and two other girls are to "back her up" singing with her, but the youth leader sang the song completely different than how it should be done, and the guitar players (including my hubby :) ) were having trouble playing with her. O my gosh it was horrible! (not that her voice didn't sound bad, it sounded pretty as always, but the song sounded terrible--the melody and tune was way off!!)

So, here I am, struggling to back her up, but I don't know whether she is going up or down on a certain part and then she started changing around verses and what-not. A complete train wreck. And I was getting more and more frustrated, and our Worship Leader was trying to get her attention, trying to tell her the melody doesn't sound right. Instead of listening and submitting to our Worship Leader, the youth leader just kept going. Getting my fill of it, I said into the microphone, "Hold up!! What are we doing? This isn't right and it sounds bad. Are we changing the song or something than how we normally sing it? If we are, that's fine, but I'm confused and lost?" Instead of stopping to listening to me, the youth leader said, "Just keep going until we get it." And she said it in such a rude way and was giving me a death look. Now, she has been my friend for several years, but that really ticked me off. So then I tried again, "How can we ever get it if we aren't singing it right in the first place?" She still didn't listen, so since I knew how the song went, I sang the right melody as loud as I could into the mic, drowing out the youth leader. Ugh I was so frustrated with it, and I don't think I did anything wrong by doing that.

Anyway, our Worship Leader stopped us and confronted the youth leader, then got me to sing it for her so she would know how it goes. That was awful but I did it anyway and then we sang it right together a couple of times. Then after that, my hubby asked the youth leader how a certain song went, and she spouted off, "why don't you ask one of them? I might sing it wrong." In a really spiteful way. Then after practice was over she left without saying anything and I felt that she was really angry with me.

I tried texting her later trying to tell her that I wasn't trying to be rude...oh well. I don't think she ever texted me back. So I'm praying for our next worship service. (I think we have the service this next Wednesday. I hope we practice before then!)I definitely don't think I was in the wrong. But dang is that girl bull headed! Lol.

Anyway, I'm still frustrated about but what can ya do? I have been praying about it though. Well it's about that time! :) I'm going to go eat me some Mexican food :) Then I'm going to start crocheting! :)

Love you guys and I hope ya'll have a great Friday!!

Posting on My IPhone 4 :)

Hey everyone! I didn't really mean to blog twice in one day, but I was sitting here at the house thinking about how awesome my phone was and that I love that I can practically run my online Etsy store not only on my laptop, but also on my phone as well using the Crafty app. Then I started to think about how cool it would be if I could blog from my phone as well. And voila!! :D I downloaded the app called BlogWriter :) so I wanted to test it out to see if I would like it and I think I do!!

Also, today I got in my Etsy Online Shop business cards!! They are so cute and have little owls on them ;) I also have a notepad with my logo, along with some address return labels and a tote bag with my label on it as well to hold all of my new business stationary and cards!! :) I'm very happy with it!! I will post a picture of them later, but for now I have to get going. I have to be at Praise Practice at 6 and then to my Grandmother's to get our flatscreen and eat pizza!! Love you guys and have a great rest of the day!!

Knitting and My New Phone :)

Hi There :)

I was sitting here at work knitting and decided to post on my blog haha.
Knitting is a lot of fun, but knitting on the same project for days can get a little boring. So, to mix it up a little, I have three knitting projects going on haha. All are scarves and when I get tired of seeing yarn all day long, I switch over to my next scarf and work on it for a while. If you have never knit before, I think you should really give it a try! It is very relaxing, and easy to do! I know that you are probably thinking it's hard, because before I started to knit, I thought that too! But I picked up a how to book at my local crafts store and tried it out anyway. And it is really quite simple! My tip to you would be to pick out a how to book that has plenty of pictures of the process! Just words and no picture doesn't really help you out with visualizing how it should look while doing it. If you have a local Super Wal-Mart, they have some great little how to books in their fabric department.

Well today is November 3rd! October flew by. Pretty soon Thanksgiving will be here, along with my favorite shopping holiday of all time! BLACK FRIDAY! Duh duh dunnn!! lol. That will be when me and my hubby get everyone gifts at the mall and at Wal-Mart. I love the deals I get on that day, but I hate how many people shop crazily. And forget parking in the parking lot. There are so many people that have parked in it, you literally have to park far away and walk a mile to the store haha. That's a little bit of an exaggeration, but you get my meaning.

And then there will be Christmas! Yay :D and I can get and give presents. Are ya'll working on ya'll's lists, or are ya'll the type that buy gifts ahead of time? I like the rush when I wait till the last minute haha. I'm excited though because I do have my hubby a gift on layaway at Wal-Mart. Thank you Jesus for layaway! It's a white IPad 2 with WiFi. He is so going to geek out when he gets it :) I think it's going to be awesome. I know he is secretly shopping for me to. It takes all I am to try not to open packages that come in the mail for him haha. I'm so bad. :P

But, anyway..I have a new phone! :D It's a white Iphone 4 and I'm extremely happy with it! I have been one of those types that always disliked IPhones because of how popular they are. (I'm such a rebel ahah :P ). But when I met my husband, he had one and he showed me just how awesome and convienient they are. So I got an IPhone 3GS and had it for a couple years, and I just upgraded to the white IPhone 4 :) Hubby has a black one just like mine haha I like being twinkies lol. It has the new software on it that the IPhone 4S that just came out has, so I pretty much have the IPhone 4S except without the talking software on it. I can live without that lol. But my IPhone is so pretty :D I wanna buy new cases for it!!!! I love accessorizing :)

So, now that we are getting the IPad 2 and I have an IPhone 4, I'm thinking about creating a new cateogory of items in my Etsy Shop. IPhone/IPod and IPad covers!! :D I'm excited. There will definitely be some cute owl fabrics for sure!! Along with some checkbook covers and totebags. Aye. I have so many things to do!!

Anyway, I wish ya'll a wonderful shopping season! :)

One Step Closer to Becoming Debt Free!

So, I was inspired yesterday reading other people's blogs. I was reading Moss Mountain's blog, found HERE, and I love the fact that she started out like me, making a few things at a time, and now sells a lot in her shop and creates such cute merchandise! (Actually, I have ordered a lot of cute felted animals from her; I'm excitedly waiting for them to come in the mail! :D ) I just really love her work and I am inspired to be all I can be with my Etsy. Because I work an 8-5, 40 hour a week job, I can't make a lot, but when I do find time to sit down and breath for a minute, I'm going to devote my spare time to knitting and crafting! I'm really excited about it too. I don't know if one day I can quit my job and just do what I love based on my sells, but just doing what I can now, little by little, is enough for me right now :)

As a child of God, I really want to be debt free! And me and my hubby are one step closer to being just that! We are selling his jeep because my dad is trading his old work truck for my hubby's four wheeler. The truck is paid off and so once we sell the jeep, we can pay it off and use those payments we were making on it to put on our credit card!! Isn't God wonderful? What a blessing it is to get thing paid off. Cause that is exactly what is intended for all us as Christ followers, I believe :)

Anyway, another blessing that is happening is that my Grandmother is giving us a gift :O. When she retired from her job, her friends went in together and bought her a 44" flat screen, LCD. Now that she has moved in to her new home, she says she doesn't like it cause it is too big. So she wants to trade flatscreens with me and my hubby. Me and my hubby have a like 34" or so flatscreen we got last year. So tomorrow we are switching!! My hubby has been wanting a bigger flatscreen and we were going to eventually save up and buy one, and now we don't have to!! Thank You Jesus for Your wonderful blessings :)

Anyway, soon I want to post of all my Etsy merchandise I have bought over the past few weeks :) and then link them to their maker's shops :) How exciting.

Anyway, I hope you all are having a blessed week. I pray that we may all be one day debt free!!

Another Day, Another Dollar

Hi everyone :) Don't you just love this weather? Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons, definitely. But Fall a little bit more because of the changing colors of the leaves, and the excuse to knit beautiful and warm scarves and drink hot cocoa by the fire! *sighs* I love it.
Well, today I just wanted to post a blog about nothing in particular. haha. This morning I was headed out the door, and our kitty cat tried to leave with me. So, trying to keep her in the house, somehow I shut the door without my keys in my hand. I was locked out! haha. Maybe that was kitty's plan all along. Hehe just kidding. Or am I on to something? o_O Well, anyway, I was actually going to be early for work until that happened. So I had to call my adoring hubby at his work to drop by and unlock the door for me so I could get my keys. I don't know how many times this has happened. I've lost count haha.

So, I'm finally at work. And what do I do at work, you ask? I am a secretary for a Pest Control business. And boy do I love working with these guys!! They are all so very fun and nice to work with. This is probably the first job that I have ever had that I actually enjoy going to work. Yay me!! And the fact that I still have acess to a computer and I can knit or make little animals makes me so very happy :D Ah, it's the small things in life.

Right now I'm drinking a Red Bull. RED BULL GIVES ME WINGS. And it makes me happy :) I'm a little hyper right now though. I'm working on knitting a red scarf for my mom for Christmas. It is so pretty! I love how soft it is, and the red is such a deep color that it has a little blue irridescent look in the right light. Hopefully, soon, after Christmas, I can post scarves to sell. We will see :)

Anyway, I hope you guys have a wonderfully blessed day!

Love,

Leisha

Welcome to my new Blog! :)

Hi everyone! I wanted to welcome you to my new blog for my Etsy Shop, You Are Made With Love. If you would like to visit my shop, click HERE. And if that doesn't work, copy and paste this url into your address bar: http://youaremadewithlove.etsy.com !
Anyway, I wanted to also thank you for coming by! I will be blogging off and on about life and about cute created things that I will feature here and on my Etsy shop. I love comments and questions, so let me know if you have any!
With this first post, I just wanted to introduce myself a bit and why I do what I do. My name is Leisha, and I love all things handmade :) Ever since I can remember, I loved making things, whether it was learning embroidery, drawing, coloring, painting or making dollie clothes! That love for all things crafty has followed me throughout my life, and is now one of my many passions and pastimes!!
I love knitting scarves, embroidering cute things, felting animals, and sewing purses and wallets! Hopefully I will soon own an embroidery machine!! :D
I am also a writer!! Although I haven't published anything yet, I have written several short stories and hopefully one day I can sit down and get to work on that American Novel I want to write one day! haha but I mostly dream about that for now :)
I am a lover of music, and I sing on our Praise Team at my church. I can't really play very well, but I love playing guitar and saxophone! :) Maybe one day I can post pictures of my instruments and equipment. I am inspired everyday by my amazing husband who plays amazing electric guitar! :D he also is very well rounded and can play anything he puts his hands on because he is gifted with playing by ear! Oh how I love him :)
I also love God! And I am very grateful for His Son's sacrafice so that I may one day be with Him and my sister Tia in Heaven :) Thank You Jesus!! :D
I also love to read. Rainy days+a good book+blanket+hot cocoa or tea makes me happy! :) Well, that's about it for my first post! Comment and let me know if you wanna know anything else! Thank you for dropping by!! :)
